Tree of Whispers is Making it Rain in Diablo 4 S2

Psst, you there, adventurer...want to make millions of gold in Diablo 4? Well, if you are willing to do some "Grim Favors" for the Tree of Whispers, even at a low level, you could net yourself millions of gold.

While the patch notes for Diablo 4 Season 2 did indicate an increase in gold and experience from completing Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers and handing them in, no one could have imagined low-level players getting millions of gold for a few runs...that's the situation we are in right now, and we don't know how long it will last.

Players Report Millions of Gold For Grim Favors

As reported on Reddit and WoWHead, players are getting hundreds of thousands of gold from a Whisper Cache. One player got 500,000 from a single Whisper Cache at level 9!

At this point, Blizzard should probably rename this season to "Diablo 4, Season of Gold" and change Lord Zir to a Treasure Goblin.

One Reddit user, Studentdoctor29, hit the nail on the head, stating: "lol, gotta setup the early exploiters somehow! This will be hotfixed after streamers and rushers get hundreds of millions."

At the time of writing, Blizzard has not deployed a Diablo 4 hotfix to stop the massive flow of gold from Tree of Whispers caches. It is unclear if this is "working as intended" or if it will be fixed soon, but our gold is on the latter...it's just too much.

We suggest that if you want to farm millions and millions of gold, just do Grim Favors until Blizzard fixes this "issue." You can do the Blood Harvest events later!
