Will Abattoir of Zir Return After Diablo 4 Season 2?

Will Diablo 4 Abattoir of Zir Return?

We are excited to report that Blizzard's Community Manager for Diablo, Adam "PezRadar" Fletcher, has confirmed on Twitter that the Abattoir of Zir will return sometime in the future, answering a fan question.

No additional details on the Abattoir of Zir's return are available at the time of writing. The endgame activity will be removed at the end of Season 2, which ends on 23 January 2024. 

Diablo 4 AoZ Return Date & Changes

Blizzard will add better rewards when Abattoir of Zir returns to Diablo 4 sometime in the future. While it currently does have the highest item level drop outside world bosses and Uber bosses, the rewards are still lackluster and not worth extreme effort to clear even the early tiers.

We don't think AoZ will return in Diablo 4 Season 3, as that feels way too soon. This is pure speculation, but we think AoZ might return in Diablo 4 Season 4 on the Eternal Realm. This would put the return date window at mid-2024. 

It will be interesting to see if Blizzard decides to nerf Abattoir of Zir more for its final iteration.
