Demonologist's next map will be a "haunted school," according to Clock Wizard Games' recent Steam patch notes for the game's 1.3.0 update. It's been several months since the last new map, Kurosawa House, was added to Demonologist, so fans will no doubt be excited to hear about this new map in development. Perhaps other new features could be added alongside the new map, as well, though there's no word on what those could be quite yet.
Demonologist won't be the first ghost-hunting game out there with a haunted school map. Phasmophobia, which is set for a console release later this year, also has its own haunted school in the form of the Brownstone High School map. Brownstone High School is one of the largest maps in Phasmophobia, intended for more advanced players who are willing to search through the large building and discover the ghost's identity.
We don't know quite yet whether Demonologist will take a similar approach to Phasmophobia, adding in a huge high school, or if developers could take a different approach perhaps with a creepy, abandoned elementary school or middle school.
Demonologist's new update hit the game today, 25 January, adding in new hiding spots and some fixes to the game. While there's no set release date quite yet for the new "Haunted School" map, it's likely it'll be added to the game in the next few months, given Demonologist's update schedule. As soon as developers release any photos or teasers of the upcoming map, we'll be sure to add them to this page so you can check them out for yourself.
