Dead by Daylight kill switched The Mastermind in-mid June 2023 following a bug that caused the killer to become invisible; though developers ran into some issues with taking the killer out of rotation, players have been unable to access him for a few days now. This has raised the question of when Wesker is coming back to Dead by Daylight. According to a recent update by the game's team, though, it, unfortunately, doesn't sound like he'll be back in time for the game's upcoming 2023 Twisted Masquerade 7th anniversary celebration, even with its delays.
When Is Wesker Coming Back To Dead By Daylight?
According to Dead by Daylight's Twitter, "The Mastermind will not return in the next patch." However, developers say that they are aiming to add him back to the game in the following patch, but there's no guarantee.
Wesker is a fan-favorite character from the game's Resident Evil Project W chapter, so it's likely that Behaviour Interactive is working to get him back online as fast as possible.
Here's a look at the Tweet from Dead by Daylight's official account:
We can confirm that The Mastermind will not return in the next patch.

Currently, the team is aiming to have him back on live servers in the following patch, but we cannot guarantee that timeline. We'll fill you in as soon as we know more!
While Wesker is unfortunately not available for players to select in Dead by Daylight's killer menu, players might want to use this time to try out The Singularity, the newest killer from Dead by Daylight's Chapter 28: End Transmission.
