Dead by Daylight reworked its prestige system in 2022, giving players the opportunity to level each character's Bloodweb to a maximum of Level 100. While players can receive a bloody outfit for reaching certain early prestige levels (one piece at levels 6, 7, and 8), there aren't any rewards for reaching P100 on any character.
While many players insist that they'd like a reward for the insane amount of effort it takes to get to this level, the game's developers have doubled down on the lack of a reward at this time in a Twitter Q&A.
"It'd be really cool to have a fancy reward for hitting P100, but at the same time, that's an insane amount of progress and we don't want people to feel like they're missing out by not hitting it," the Dead by Daylight team wrote. "Prestige is ultimately meant to be a goal for people who have already done everything else, so we don't want to lock too much content behind it."
However, some fans are still not happy with the lack of a reward, again citing the sheer amount of effort and time it takes to reach P100 on even a single character.
"Grinding a character to P100 is probably one of the biggest grinds in any game I have personally played," one Redditor pointed out in a thread on the official Dead by Daylight subreddit. "Feels like the only 'reward' is getting lobby dodged and tunneled (for survivor)."
Some players have pointed out that there is a sort of reward, albeit an indirect and perhaps unintentional one, for reaching Prestige 100. Players will constantly be able to access the Level 50 Bloodweb for their Prestige 100 character, and this high-level Bloodweb tends to contain some of the game's best items, like Iridescent add-ons for killers or rare items for survivors. It also provides an easy way to stock up on event items during events, since they occur frequently on Level 50.
Others suggested that developers give players who reach P100 a special charm, unique cosmetic, or even decorations to the game's upcoming player cards feature mentioned in the Year 8 roadmap. For now, though, it seems like developers are doubling down on the lack of a reward for P100 players, and those who reach this milestone will have to celebrate their success without the added bonus of a free cosmetic, currency, or item.
