Dead by Daylight is celebrating April Fool's Day this year with a brand-new mode featuring a giant killer and tiny survivors: "My Little Oni." Yes, that's really the mode's name (and we absolutely love it). The mode debuts on 1 April and ends 3 April at 9 AM EDT.
The April Fool's Day event follows the end of the Blood Moon event, which lasted from 18 March until 31 March.
Dead by Daylight has hinted at adding a "giant killer, tiny survivor" mode before. In a previous survey asking what fans would like added to the game, one of the options was just called "Giant." The description read, "Sizes are altered! Killers are turned into giants, while survivors become tiny," but there were no further details.
The Oni is the only killer that can be played in this special event mode. To play it, you can select it from the menu in lieu of the usual Killer or Survivor options throughout the duration of the event. While survivors can stilll complete generators, they can't use Items, access Chests, vault Pallets or even go into the Basement. Hooks aren't available, either, and survivors can only die from a Mori.
Players can earn one reward for participating in the event, in the form of a profile badge featuring Oni towering over several small survivors.
