Players were facing some bugs with The Mastermind, also known as Resident Evil's Albert Wesker, so Dead by Daylight's developers moved to pull the kill switch on the iconic character on 13th June according to a post on their Twitter and in-game news announcement. It seems that The Mastermind's Virulent Bounds are fast enough for him to dodge his temporary removal from the game, though, as developers have been unable to pull the kill switch on Wesker since yesterday's announcement.
Due to a bug in today's update, we have temporarily disabled The Mastermind. He will be re-enabled once the issue is fixed in an upcoming patch.https://t.co/xxbySLhZIB

Following the initial announcement, the team commented, "FYI due to service degradation at our server provider, the kill switch process is currently unavailable. We estimate that it will be up and running tomorrow and will provide an update when it's working properly."
Finally, on 14 June 2023, the kill switch finally went into effect as of 2:30 PM... or so it seemed.
"The Mastermind will remain disabled until the issue is resolved," the Dead by Daylight team said on their official Twitter account. They did not give more specific information about when the issue would be resolved or when Wesker would be re-enabled, leaving fans with lots of questions.
Still, though, even after Behaviour claimed they pulled the kill switch, some players found that they could still play Wesker on 14th June, suggesting that the feature might not actually be functioning as intended.
He is still playable (even after restarting the game and steam completely, I can choose him) AND Blight has the same issue - I see so many Blights right now, getting stunned by pallets while using their power, being invisible like Wesker is in that case.

For now, players can't play The Mastermind in Dead by Daylight thanks to the bugs and glitched with the character that led to Behaviour pulling the kill switch, though some players are still mysteriously able to access him. As with any kill-switched character or feature, though, he'll be back in the game soon - as soon as Behaviour is able to patch up those pesky bugs.
If you're wondering when he'll be back, we're guessing it'll take a little longer than "7 minutes."
