Dead by Daylight is celebrating the holidays this year with Bone Chill 2023; while the Snowmen from prior years are returning, there's also a new mechanic called Snowskulls. Snowskulls are essentially snowballs that players can toss at one another, allowing you to have snowball fights in Dead by Daylight.
Here's how to throw Snowskulls in Dead by Daylight during the Bone Chill 2023 event so you can join in on the wintery fun and enjoy the snow.
How To Throw Snowskulls In Dead By Daylight
Snowskulls are a Dead by Daylight mechanic, new for the Bone Chill 2023 event. You'll only be able to pick up Snowskulls throughout the duration of the event, but both killers and survivors can do so.
To throw a Snowskull in Dead by Daylight, find a large pile of snow in the trial and interact with it. You'll then be holding a Snowskull, but you don't have to stop there - you can hold up to 6 Snowskulls at any given time. You can then throw them whenever you please.
"Pro tip: It’s all in the name," Dead by Daylight's team suggests. "Take the snow and aim for the skull."
It's worth noting that they don't have any actual effect on gameplay, aside from being for fun. They won't injure, hinder, blind, or otherwise affect a killer or survivor - although throwing one might draw some attention to you, of course! It's possible that players may need to throw Snowskulls in order to complete Bone Chill tome challenges, giving players an incentive to use them, but no confirmation on that yet.
