Dead by Daylight has expanded its accessibility features significantly over the past few years, introducing a visual terror radius heartbeat for survivors, larger text options, subtitles, and more. One highly-requested feature is a FOV, or field-of-view, slider, which would allow players to adjust their field-of-view in-game - and Behaviour has finally addressed fans' wishes.

In a late September 2023 Q&A on Twitter, developers touched on the frequently-requested accessibility feature, stating that they are "trying to get on [FOV sliders] as soon as possible."

While Dead by Daylight's team has stated that they're actively working on adding FOV sliders to the game, they also mentioned that they have no specific release date for the upcoming addition yet.

This means that a FOV slider could be added to the game sometime in the remainder of 2023, but we could also see it added in 2024. Until developers offer a more specific timeframe for the addition of this feature, it's all just speculation based on the game's Year 8 Roadmap.

In the meantime, players who want to increase their FOV can use the killer perk Shadowborn, which increases the killer FOV slightly. However, this does take up one out of four perk slots in your loadout, so it's definitely not a permanent fix, nor it is it one that all players will want to go for.

While there isn't a FOV slider accessibility feature in Dead by Daylight yet, developers say that they plan on adding the feature to the game soon. Without a specific release date, though, fans will have to wait and see when, exactly, that feature is coming to the game.
