In a livestream today, Behaviour Interactive announced that one of Dead by Daylight's most highly-requested features, cross-progression, is coming to the game on 22nd July. It's an exciting update for many players who will now be able to access all of their content across all platforms.
Cross-progression will be available on every platform - yes, all of them (minus Mobile) - with just a few limitations for Switch players. Those who own content on Switch won't be able to share their paid currency or DLC from the Switch onto other platforms, though that content on other platforms can be transferred onto the Switch.
"A huge quality of life of improvement for those who enjoy Dead by Daylight on multiple platforms, Cross-Progression has been a long-requested feature which the team is excited to deliver on," the team wrote in a press release.
To use cross-progression, players will need a Behaviour Account, and will need to own Dead by Daylight on each platform on which they play. Players will get a free Campfire Charm for linking their accounts. While players won't get retroactive refunds for buying duplicate DLCs, those with duplicate DLCs will receive 4,500 Iridescent Shards the first time they log in after linking the accounts.
While most of the changes with the cross-progression update are positive for fans, there's one catch: the prices of some DLCs will go up by a dollar on PC to match the console prices, starting the date cross-progression is active. "To support Cross-Progression, DLC pricing must be consistent across all platforms," the team explained on X/Twitter.
