Disney Dreamlight Valley Update Brings Monsters Inc & Doors Galore

With the release of Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 9 drawing near, we've gotten yet another teaser with a bit of Valentine's Day flavor. Players have known since the Disney Dreamlight Valley roadmap dropped last year that Monsters Inc was on the table as an upcoming addition. Let's take a closer look at what they've told us about the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update and what players can expect.

Disney Dreamlight Valley update to bring Monsters Inc and new doors

We're finally about to see Monsters Inc in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and love is in the air for the game's next Star Path. After revealing one of the new quality of life features on the way, two teasers from Gameloft have filled in even more gaps about what's coming in this update.

The first teaser featured three sets of emojis, some of which have now been confirmed by additional reveals. The door and eye emoji pairing signaled Mike Wazowski, who we see featured in the above Disney Dreamlight Valley Valentine. Below, you can see the first of hopefully several decorative doors (something players have been requesting for months) coming to Scrooge McDuck's Shop and potentially as part of the upcoming Star Path rewards.

They also dropped a woman and snake emoji, and a Valentine in their teaser tweet looks to show a new hair item inspired by Celia Mae from Monsters Inc. However, two emojis remain unmentioned and could signal even more is due to arrive.

The choice to include a candle emoji and spaghetti emoji has quickly made many players predict Lady and the Tramp will be part of the next Star Path. We'll likely see some themed items, potentially even their decorative candlelight dinner table itself with Spaghetti included. There's also a possibility of Lady or The Tramp being a new companion, but players should find out soon once the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update patch notes are confirmed.
