Astralis & NiP Enter ESL Impact League With Female CSGO Roster

The second season of CSGO’s ESL Impact League got more interesting. Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas recently announced their participation in the competition with a brand new roster. The first season of the league was a blast with Nigma Galaxy winning the competition. The undisputed winners will become defending champions in the second season.

The addition of new organizations and support for female CSGO will lift Europe’s competitive scene. They will compete with top female teams to mark their arrival in the ESL Impact League. Let’s have a look at the new Astralis and NiP teams competing in the league.

Astralis in ESL Impact League Season 2

Danish esports organization Astralis makes its way into the ESL Impact League with their new female roster in CSGO. It’s a very positive step from the organization towards making a healthier ecosystem in the game.

Anders Hørsholt, CEO of Astralis said, “We have long worked with the idea of a women’s team in Counter-Strike, and we have been in dialogue with ESL from the very beginning to support the creation of the best possible international women’s league.”

Astralis have put together a talented lineup and the players are ecstatic to compete in one of the best leagues. Aurora Lyngdal, Astralis’ team member, shared her views on the matter: “We have assembled a team that will be able to compete at the very top of all tournaments, with players who all want to be the best in the world. As a woman in Counter-Strike, you fight both for results and for respect, and with the Astralis star on our chest and the organization behind us, we believe we can make a change and win both battles.”

NiP in ESL Impact League Season 2

Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas have brought together a fantastic lineup for the upcoming league. The organization was working to empower female players in esports and they have picked one of the most exciting competitions to mark the debut for their team.

Former GODSENT players, Thea “⁠pullox⁠” Evensen, Marita “⁠Minnie⁠” Siljan Sørensen, and Mayline-Joy “⁠ASTRA⁠” Champliaud join the team and will bring experience and give the team a solid structure. 

TILDE “7licious” Byström expressed her thoughts on the new beginning,  "I'm super happy and proud that we finally can announce our team as the NIP Impact squad. I feel like we complete each other perfectly both in-game and IRL, which makes my work as an IGL much easier. I am super proud to be a part of this lineup and I can assure you that with some time we will show the world what we can do. NIP has always been close to my heart and to have the opportunity to play under such a legendary org is just a dream come true, but the job is not done yet."
