COD Mobile Contact Grenade - How to unlock and gameplay

With the release of Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4, entitled "Wild Dogs" on 27th April at 17:00 PT (00:00 on 28th UTC) comes a tonne of new content, from a shiny battle pass to new maps, modes, weapons and, of course, equipment. The new Lethal at the start of COD Mobile Season 4 is called the Contact Grenade, and players will want to unlock it quickly, as it appears to be quite powerful.

In this guide, we tell you exactly how you can unlock the Contact Grenade easily at the start of COD Mobile Season 4, showcase its effects and provide you with a first look at its gameplay.

How to unlock Contact Grenade - COD Mobile Season 4

The Contact Grenade is a powerful and straightforward Lethal equipment, which, as you might have guessed, explodes immediately upon contact with any surface.

The Contact Grenade can be unlocked via the free tiers of the COD Mobile Season 4 Wild Dogs battle pass. This means you don't have to spend any CP to unlock this new Lethal.

Players can unlock the Contact Grenade in COD Mobile by reaching Tier 14 of the Season 4 battle pass.

You can quickly unlock the Contact Grenade by purchasing the Premium Battle Pass 12-Tier Bundle, which will set you back 520 CP, putting you only two levels away from unlocking COD Mobile Season 4's new Lethal equipment. If you don't spend CP, we expect the average player to take several days to unlock it. 

Keep in mind that once unlocked, COD Mobile's Contact Grenade will be permanently available in future seasons.

COD Mobile Contact Grenade gameplay & effects

Since it explodes immediately, the Contact Grenade has a smaller blast radius compared to regular grenades. Players can hold and aim before throwing it in COD Mobile Season 4, waiting for that perfect moment. It has, by default, a capacity of one (1). 

It explodes immediately on contact with any surface, including the ground, walls and enemies, making it perfect for those who have quick reflexes. 

Obviously, the Contact Grenade deals damage to those caught in its small blast radius. It can take out an enemy with one shot when hitting directly.
