It has been unusually quiet for the COD: Mobile esports scene over the last couple of months, but that's about to change.
After a couple of months of silence, Activision has officially announced the 2021 Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship.
Unfortunately for the competitive scene of COD: Mobile, last year's World Championship final event has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, but hopefully things will be different later this year and fans will be able to enjoy watching the very best COD: Mobile players, who will fight for their share of a huge prize pool and a title of the world champions.
The official sponsor of the competition is Sony, and the total prize pool is a whopping $2 million for a whole season.
Asides from the official announcement and the prize pool, no other information have been revealed yet, like the tournament structure, rules and other details.
