Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive are launching a follow-up to the popular city building game, Cities Skylines. In its sequel, players will have more avenues for creativity st their fingertips, with plenty of tools to help them build the city of their dreams.
While the game will have a variety of content available at launch, there's a lot to look forward to over the year following release. For starters, players will be able to get their hands on the in-game editor, to help create mods and other custom content. DLCs are also set to arrive throughout 2024. But with so much to look forward to, players are eager to learn if they can jump into Cities Skylines 2 through early access.
Can You Play Cities Skylines 2 In Early Access?
Sadly, Cities Skylines 2 will not have an early access period. Players will only be able to start playing the game once it launches on October 24, 2023. Whether you pre-order the standard edition or Ultimate edition, neither option comes with an early access period.
If you've ordered Cities Skylines 2: Ultimate Edition, you'll receive various offerings of DLC bonus content. This includes the San Francisco Set as an instant unlock, and the Assets Pack & Radio Station set for release later on this year.
Cities Skylines 2 will launch on October 24, 2023 on PC via Steam, Microsoft, and PC Game Pass. A console release across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 is currently scheduled for Spring 2024.
