Among Us, the indie social deduction game in which a group of players tries to determine who among them is a killer while completing multiple tasks what will net them a win has been a massive success ever since Twitch streamers brought the 2018 game to life during these quarantine times.
As a sleeper hit, developer InnerSloth was taken aback by the sheer amount of people trying to play the game, whether be the mobile or PC versions, leading to a few bugs and server issues pestering the player base.

One of these issues prevents players from changing regions after being stuck in one by mistake. Among Us currently has three different ones for players to create their games: North America, Europe, and Asia, with some people reporting not being allowed to switch from one to another. preventing them from joining friends' lobbies.
How to fix the stuck in the wrong region bug
According to the developers on the game's Steam forums, there's a current ongoing bug "where if you change regions while connecting, the game may overwrite your region data with the wrong region. This makes you connect to the wrong region later," causing room codes to not function.
Fixing this is very simple, you only need to delete the "serverinfo2" file from your PC, which you can access right here:
- %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Innersloth\Among Us
We hope this quick fix helps you and gets you back to try and find out who the impostor is.
