Aloft: Where To Find & Use The Stone Sword

Crafting tools and weapons is slightly challenging as players must acquire crafting materials and resources before obtaining the blueprints. The blueprints can't be acquired from Knowledge Stones; instead, they must rely on the Workbench Station to combine various materials and resources to learn one, and the Stone Sword is one such weapon.

This melee weapon is players' best defense against the enemies they'll encounter on corrupted islands, but how can they get the Stone Sword? We've done some sleuthing and compiled all the information in this guide on finding (or getting) and using the Stone Sword in Aloft.

How To Find And Use The Stone Sword In Aloft?

As Crafting is one of the core gameplay components of the co-op sandbox survival game, players will gain access to making various tools and weapons that can aid them in removing corruption from the floating islands. Additionally, it can help them construct their aircraft, home base, and farming spaces, as well as fight off mushroomed enemies.

As such, they'll need the best weapon to protect themselves against these foes, for which the Stone Sword is the tool to craft. As a member of the Stone tools group, we have yet to find it in the open world, but if they're looking to own it, it can be crafted with its blueprint.

Players looking to learn the Stone Sword weapon will need a few crafting materials and resources, like Wood, Sharp Stone, and Rope. As mentioned in previous guides, Rope and Sharp Stone can be crafted at the Workbench Station, for which Rope requires Mykter Fibre and Sharp Stone needs Stones to make.

Back at the Workbench Station, place one piece of Wood, one Rope, and three Sharp Stones into the hopper to learn the blueprint. All that's left is to craft the weapon, and the Stone Sword will be theirs to equip for the Hotbar before wielding it.

According to its in-game description, the Stone Sword is "a melee weapon used in combat," which is extremely valuable when attempting to cleanse an island from corruption. Much like the Stone Hammer and Axe, which can also be used, the Stone Sword is best used to destroy the large nodes and eliminate the mushroomed enemies that spawn near the nodes before using the Field Guide to learn how to restore the ecosystem.
