How To Take Photos With Photo Mode In Aloft?
The co-op sandbox survival game Aloft is currently in Alpha, and a demo is available for free via Steam. As players continue exploring the floating islands in search of lost knowledge, convert an island into a Skyship, and cleanse islands from corruption to restore the ecosystem, they will find some incredible scenes worthy of capturing in a photograph.
To answer the question, yes, Aloft does feature a Photo Mode feature to capture beautiful vistas and intense moments when fighting off mushroomed enemies or discovering something new in-game. Finding where the Photo Mode isn't entirely intuitive, but they can begin capturing their favorite in-game moments once they've found it.
When accessing Photo Mode in Aloft, players must go to the Pause Menu by hitting the ESC key, and they can select Photo Mode from the menu options, which will pause or freeze all in-game action. Players will now have access to various camera options and filters, for which they can hit the W, A, S, and D keys or use the mouse to move the camera and the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
Below, we've listed all the camera options and filters that players can utilize while in Photo Mode:
- Camera Settings: Toggle the Camera Settings to Zoom, Tilt, Blur Strength, Focus Distance, and Depth of Field.
- Image Settings: Toggle the sliders to increase or decrease the Contrast, Colour Saturation (color intensity), and Vignette; choose a Colour Profile and change the Colour Profile Intensity.
- Time & Weather: Toggle the sliders to change the Time of Day and the Fog Density
- Pose: This option is currently unavailable.
- Export: Frame (change the color of the Aloft logo) and File Name
Once they've toggled with the camera options and filters in Photo Mode, they can hit the F key to take the picture, which will be saved to their PC. If they're wondering where these photos can be found, open up File Explorer, click on Local Disk (C:) or whichever drive is their default storage, and in the Search Bar, type "%appdata%" and press the Enter key.
While in the Search Bar, click on the "AppData" directory before selecting LocalLow and locate the Astrolabe Interactive folder where they can choose Screenshots. Within this folder, they'll find all their photos before sharing them online or on the game's Discord server to showcase amazing views and celebrate their in-game milestones, discoveries, or terrifying encounters.
