MW2 & Warzone Halloween 2023: The Haunting Event Mastery Camo Leaked

October makes for an exciting month for fans of live-service games. Be it in Fortnite or Call of Duty, studios roll out all things spooky across their games in the form of cosmetics, LTMs, and more. Call of Duty Warzone is no stranger to a Halloween event, being one of the few key events that players everywhere eagerly anticipate.

But despite us moving into the Fall season, Activision has remained pretty quiet about their Halloween plans across both Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. Luckily, data miners aren't willing to wait around and have found some hints of what to expect — such as a brand new Mastery Camo as part of this year's 'The Haunting' event.

Warzone & MW2 'The Haunting' Event 2023: Mastery Camo Skin Revealed

As posted by @DETONATEDcom (and via @Soupsilly_) on X (Twitter), players will be able to get their hands on a special Mastery Camo as part of this year's Halloween event in Warzone and MW2. While the Camo remains nameless at this time, it can be seen with a blue and green base with a neon purple texture moving across it. This Mastery Camo is animated. 

The clip posted by @Soupsilly_ shows the skin working on an SMG, but it's expected to be available for a number of different weapons. At the time of writing, it's unclear exactly how players will be able to earn this Mastery Camo though it will likely be tied to the event in some fashion.

Warzone & MW2 'The Haunting' Event 2023: Rumored Skins, Cosmetics

Mastery Camos aren't the only thing expected to arrive with the Warzone & MW2 'The Haunting' event. User @Soupsilly_ also posted leaks of what appears to be upcoming Operator skins for the Halloween event. One skin shows an Operator with raven-like accents, including a mask and feathered collar. Another presents an Operator as a full-blown zombie, decomposing limbs and all. Lastly, a Jack-o-Lantern head dominates another Operator skin, with an eerie blue light eminating from the eyes and mouth. 

Activision has yet to confirm the start date for this Halloween event, but it is expected to begin as part of the Season 6 update.
