It's no surprise that Xbox Game Pass, aka Netflix of gaming, is one of the best deals in video games right now. From notable third-party additions to day one indie releases and all of Xbox's first-party games, Xbox Game Pass is currently a force to be reckoned with.
While game pass offers hundreds of diverse and incredible titles at any given instant, choosing what to play can be overwhelming. That's where we come in!
To make your decision easy, we will curate a list of the top 5 Xbox Games Pass games you could check out every week. With that said, let's get right into it!
Top 5 Xbox Game Pass to play this week (31st October -6th November)
Our Top 5 Xbox Game Pass games to play this week consists of two indie survival horror games, a AAA survival horror game, a AAA story driven adventure title, and a cult classic JRPG.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
A Plague Tale: Requiem is undoubtedly the biggest day one Game Pass release this holiday season. A sequel to the beloved A Plague Tale: Innocence, Requiem once again puts you into the shoes of Amicia de Rune as she struggles to survive the plague-ridden southern Europe alongside her brother Hugo.
With jaw-dropping visuals, powerful narrative, and nail-biting stealth combat, A Plague Tale: Requiem is the definitive linear single-player story-driven game on Xbox Game Pass this holiday season.
A Plague Tale: Requiem has a Metacritic score of 85/100.
Amnesia: Collection
If you're planning to stay indoors during Halloween, we have a couple of spooky games to suggest that should keep you on edge for the rest of the week.
This first in line is Frictional Games AB's Amnesia: Collection.
Amnesia: Collection is a collection of three classic Amnesia games - Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, and Amnesia: Justine. From exploring desolate castles to being trapped in a nightmarish fever dream, these classic first-person psychological horror games are sure to give you a palpitating experience.
Amnesia: Collection has a Metacritic score of 79/100.
Signalis
Signalis is a 2.5D atmospheric survival horror game set in a dystopian future. Its pixelated visuals, claustrophobic encounters, and addictive inventory system highly resemble the first Resident Evil game, and rightly so.
Signalis is a day-one Game Pass release and currently holds a Metacritic score of 81/100.
The Evil Within 2
Shinji Mikami is considered the father of survival horror, and The Evil Within 2 is a stark example of how a modern AAA survival horror experience should be.
The Evil Within 2 switches things up from its predecessor by throwing you into a semi-open-world playground that works surprisingly well for a survival horror game. Add to that some terrifying enemies and intense boss battles, and The Evil Within 2 becomes one of the most wholesome AAA survival horror experiences on Game Pass.
The Evil Within 2 has a Metacritic score of 82/100.
Persona 5 Royal
Atlus' modern magnum opus - Persona 5 Royal has finally arrived on Xbox consoles and Xbox Game Pass. The definitive version of the fifth entry in the long-running JRPG series offers some of the best stories in video games, not to mention one of the easiest to get into and satisfying turn-based combat systems.
Add to that the spectacular jazz-infused soundtrack and strong vocal performances from the entire cast, and you have one of the greatest video games of all time.
Persona 5 Royal has a Metacritic score of 95/100.
