Sony's virtual gaming presentation, State of Play, has officially been confirmed following weeks of speculation. The news was announced across their online and social media channels on 29th May 2024, for which interested persons can tune in to the live broadcast on 30th May 2024.
PlayStation's last State of Play presentation was on 31st January 2024, during which we were treated to trailers for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Rise of the Ronin, Silent Hill: The Short Message, and Zenless Zone Zero. This time, multiple exclusive and third-party titles will premiere during the showcase, during which Sony revealed a few PS VR2 games will be featured.
The forthcoming State of Play presentation will take place on 30th May 2024, for which players and audiences alike can tune in live to watch the broadcast. The presentation, which will be around 30 minutes long, will be broadcast on PlayStation's Twitch and YouTube channels and on TikTok on the aforementioned date at 3 pm PT / 6 pm ET and 31st May 2024 at 12 am CEST / 7 am JST.
If they can't catch the live broadcast, the VOD will be available on YouTube to watch in their own time. They can also visit GINX.tv for the latest news, developing stories, and updates from the PlayStation State of Play, in which 14 PS5 and PS VR2 titles will be showcased, with a few expected to launch sometime this year.
There have been a few rumors circulating online about which titles could potentially be featured during the State of Play presentation, but nothing concrete. Sony will likely want to keep its big games for the main stage at the Summer Game Fest on 7th June 2024 at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 11 pm CEST.
