Mortis Ghost's 2008 indie RPG OFF, known widely for its haunting atmosphere, unique characters, and surreal, is coming back new and improved in 2025 to both Nintendo Switch and Steam. The new version of OFF will also get a physical edition for Nintendo Switch, perfect for collectors and long-time fans.

The updated OFF includes an all-new battle system, better balance, new areas, and hidden bosses, all from Mortis Ghost. The surreal indie RPG, originally released in French, has now also received an "OFFicial" English translation.

"Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the game, OFF promises an RPG unlike anything you’ve played before," Fangamer writes in a press release. "It's a journey into a bizarre, monochromatic world where reality feels just a little… off."

The new OFF content doesn't end with in-game changes. The re-released game is also getting a special Collector’s Edition including not only the game itself, but also a gift-box style collector's case, The Batter Bobblehead Doll, Zodiac Cards, a comic book by Mortis Ghost, an OFF instruction manual, and a unique “Memories of the Park” Art Card.

Fans can also take home some of the nostalgic and uncanny adventure with the all-new merch line.  The OFF store will stock The Batter's jersey and baseball hat, shirts, pins, a Judge plush, and more.

"Moving a game that began as a freeware RPG Maker 2003 title to modern platforms wasn’t easy, but it felt like a perfect project for us," said Ryan Alyea at Fangamer. "It’s a great game, and it’s very rewarding to be able to help build something that’s exciting for old fans and accessible to players who might not have found OFF otherwise."
