Square Enix has just shared the latest NieR Replicant trailer ahead of the game's release later this week.
We are just a few days away from the release of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139, the remaster of a fantastic action RPG from 2010 and Square Enix is ramping up the promotion and making last preparations for the launch.
The new trailer showcases all the additional content added to the game compared to the original and teases some other stuff that is also new, but they don't want to reveal it fully, as that would spoil the surprise.

For the NieR: Automata fans the biggest revelation is that both of the game's main protagonist, B2 and S9, will be added to the game as costumes for the playable characters. Costumes were added as part of a free DLC, called "4 YoRHa", which also includes some of the NieR: Automata weapons.
The interesting part is that NieR: Automata voice actors were listed as a part of the "guest cast" but we are not sure if they are there only for the purpose of costumes, or if there will be some story elements that will connect the two games, which would definitely be something fans of the series would love to see.
The list of content added from NieR: Automata doesn't end here, as fans will be happy to hear that Keiichi Okabe's music composed for Automata will be fully included with the base version of NieR Replicant.
Asides from B2 and S9, another two new costumes were added, Kabuki and Samurai.

The game will also include a decent amount of completely new dungeons, 15 of them, but Square Enix wants to keep them as a surprise, so they didn't share any additional details about them. Finally, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will include a brand new episode called "Mermaid", which includes a huge sea monster and a wreck of an ancient ship stranded on the shore.
NieR Replicant is set to be released on 23rd April 2021 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while also being playing on next-gen consoles through backwards compatibility.
