Earlier this month, to celebrate 10th anniversary of Nier, Square Enix announced two new Nier games.
One is a mobile title, called NieR Re[in]carnation, and the other one is a remaster of the original Nier game, called NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.
Today we have more news about this remaster, which came directly from Yoko Taro, the original creator of the Nier games, and executive producer on NieR Replicant.
He said that the game is "much more" than just a remaster.
Gameplay has been reworked, and it will be similar to NieR: Automata. This is definitely good news since combat mechanics were the weaker part of the original game. To achieve that, some developers from PlatinumGames are helping, since they were the ones working on Automata combat.
The general goal of Nier Replicant is everything in the game to "feel new" and polished. Camera angles and behaviour will mostly stay the same as in the original game.
New VA performance will be recorded for the purpose of remaster, but with the same actors for most of the characters.
Finally, the latest piece of news we have for today is that the game will feature some new characters and possibly some different endings.
