Beloved science-fiction RPG franchise is supposedly getting a remastered Mass Effect Trilogy edition before April 2021.
Mass Effect trilogy is getting a remaster, rumour claims

Electronic Arts announced big plans for this fiscal year. The resident-bad-guy publisher will have a busy schedule during the next 11 months since they are set to release 14 new games.

Those will be 4 sports titles (FIFA 21, Madden NFL 21, NHL 21 and one unknown), two mobile games, Command & Conquer Remastered, Medal of Honor VR, Burnout Paradise Remastered (Nintendo Switch), and a few other things we don't know much about.

One of those is a mysterious "HD remaster of an EA game". No one really knows what that could be, but out of the blue sky, VentureBeat reported that the said HD remaster will in fact be a Mass Effect Trilogy remastered edition.

"Oh, and that HD remaster of an EA game is the Mass Effect Trilogy. Just don’t expect that to also launch on Switch — at least not at first," says at the end of the article

As you can see, the tone of the sentence is quite confident, it sounds like the writer is certain that what he wrote is the truth. So he either has some inside info and knows something we don't know, or he's just taking wild guesses for the sake of some attention and clicks.

Mass Effect 3 came out in 2012, before even the current generation of console, so it makes sense to make a remastered edition of the games for the new generations, especially since there are rumours that the next Mass Effect is "very early development" under the direction of Mike Gamble at BioWare.

What do you think? Is this just an empty talk, or there maybe is some truth behind it? EA has announced an EA Play Live online broadcast will take place on 11th June 2020, so maybe we'll get some more information then.
