ALIEN The Roleplaying Game is now available on Discord - yes, that Discord - featuring ready-to-play characters, character sheets, and more for the app's 80+ million users.
The game's creators, Free League, dare players to "stay alive if they can," noting that the title "offers a universe of body horror and corporate brinkmanship. It is a harsh and unforgiving universe, and you are nothing if not expendable."
Players can purchase ALIEN items directly from Discord through the Roll20 Activity, though character sheets are entirely free for everyone. The game's Introductory Adventurer Quickstarter costs $17.99 USD, while the full RPG starter bundle is $39.98.
All fans will need to do to play the tabletop game online with friends is activate the Roll20 Activity in their server and, when tasked to select a game system, choose 'Alien.'
With the addition of the tabletop game to Discord, players can now use the platform to chat over voice, video, and text while playing the game with friends from a distance. Now, GMs, players, and spectators can all get together for ALIEN The Roleplaying Game sessions on Discord. The game is for 2-6 players and is recommended for those 14+.
Earlier this month, Discord announced that Discord activities like ALIEN The Roleplaying game would be available through chat (rather than just through voice and video), giving players new ways to connect.
