In June 2022, as Pearl arrived in Valorant, Riot Games removed Split from the map pool indefinitely from Competitive, Unrated queues. While some players were happy with the decision, others missed the map, and they have been asking Riot to bring it back to the game.
The wait is finally over, as Riot has announced that Split will be making a comeback, and to make space for it, Breeze and Bind will be departing from the game. Here is the exact date of Split's comeback in Valorant.
Valorant: When is Split Coming Back
Split will return to Valorant with the release of Valorant patch 6.0, which is expected to be on January 10, 2023. Now, with Bind and Breeze going out of the map pool, we will be left with six maps, which means that the new map will also be launched along with the return of Split.

Riot has announced that Split will come back with a few changes, and they will reveal them before the release of patch 6.0. While explaining why they have decided to remove Breeze and Bind, Joe "Pearl Hogbash" Lansford said, "We feel like Breeze has some room to improve in terms of Agents and team comp diversity, as well as some opportunities for simplification of the space. And for Bind, it's mostly about strategic diversity. We'd like to open up more play around the teleporters and potentially rethink how teams execute, and defend against executes, on both sites."
As of now, there is no date set for when these maps will make a return, but on the brighter side, we are finally getting a new map in Valorant.
