By the time that Valorant Episode 3 Act 3 comes out, it will have been five months since the game last got a new agent.
That agent was KAY/O, who joined the roster with some fanfare but quickly become known for being the jack of all (some) trades but the master of none. That doesn't look like repeating itself with Act 3, which will introduce a new agent Chamber on 16th November.
He will be the game's 17th agent and will be a Sentinel and he is being designed to be used as a team's Operator.
More is known about him, and we detail that below, and if you want an overview of the new season in its entirety then keep on reading as we break down everything you need to know about Episode 3 Act 3.
Valorant Episode 3 Act 3 - Start date
Act 2 started slightly later than it was originally intended, the actual date being 8th September.
The current battle pass, which runs concurrently with the Act, is set to end on 2nd November, and Act 3 will begin the same date later, on Tuesday 2nd November.
New Agent - Chamber
The biggest change coming in Act 3 is undoubtedly the inclusion of Chamber, a French-speaking Sentinel who leverages his custom arsenal to hold the line and pick off enemies from afar, with a contingency built for every plan.
We have seen some images, and he is well dressed and well-armed, French weapons designer who expels aggressors with deadly precision.
He was first seen (for just a couple of seconds) in the Year One Anthem video and Riot has released his official trailer:
Chamber is a Sentinel who focuses "on mechanical outplays, with an additional focus of gunplay into the mix for an extra flourish," according to a recent State of Agents dev blog.
Episode 3 Act 3 - Battle pass
The battle pass, like those that have come before, will offer both a free and paid track for players.
It will cost 1,000 VP and contain 50 tiers of rewards with Episode and Epilogue rewards to unlock once completed.
Even though Chamber will not release with Episode 3 Act 3, the battle pass will feature his Player Card.
In addition to this, there will be three weapon bundles and a ton of Halloween and New Year themed rewards.
