VCT Pacific Kickoff Day 4 is over, with Gen.G and Talon advancing to the Upper Semifinals after defeating Global Esports and RRQ, respectively. Global Esports will face DFM, while RRQ will take on Team Secret to begin their Lower Bracket run.

Global Esports started strong with a dominant performance on the first map, Split, securing a 13-6 win. Abyss seemed evenly matched until Talon turned it into a one-sided affair in the second half, taking it to 13-9 to push the series to a decider. The final map, Lotus, went back and forth, but Talon emerged victorious with a 13-8 scoreline, clinching the series by 2-1.

Primmie playing Tejo on Split instead of a duelist surprised everyone. When asked about this decision, Governor said, "One day, he just said, 'I want to play Tejo, bro.' I mean, it also worked out rolewise. Sure, we kind of got owned on Split, but rolewise, it made more sense for him to go on Tejo so that Joseph (ban) and I could play double duelist. It was a mixture—it worked, but he also wanted to do it."

On the other side, RRQ claimed the first map, Fracture, comfortably with a 13-6 win. However, Gen.G balanced the series scoreline with a victory on Lotus. The final map, Haven, was the highlight as it went overtime, but Gen.G edged out RRQ with a 14-12 scoreline, securing the series 2-1.

"It was such a hard game against RRQ—they are very strong," said Foxy9. "Everyone, please forget about the first map, just chill out. Call me Chill9."
