In The Casting of Frank Stone, the decisions you make will impact what happens next. One of the very first major decisions you'll have to make is whether to, and how to, save the child in the first part of the game. Here's how to successfully save the child and shoot Frank Stone and seal your fate for the better.
How To Save The Child
During Sam's first encounter with Frank Stone, he'll need to save a child that's about to be murdered. In order to do so, he'll need to take down the hopeful killer - but his opponent ends up stabbing him through the arm. During this tense encounter, you'll need to use your wits and skills to win.
Your first choice is whether to use a Ladder or a Ramp: both paths will bring you closer to Frank Stone, so you can choose either one. However, when going up the Ramp, you'll be faced with a skill check.
To save the child after going up either the Ladder or the Ramp, you'll need to succeed at the numerous quick-time events that follow Frank Stone's attack. There will be quite a few of these quick-time events both during your fight with Frank Stone and afterwards, so be sure to pay attention and hit all of them. You'll also need to use multiple keys depending on the type of quick-time event.
If you've succeeded at all of the ones prior, you'll end up with a scene where Sam has a pipe stabbed through his arm. Here, you'll get yet another skill check that requires you to click as fast as you can.
If you successfully manage to pull the weapon out and deflect Frank Stone's attacks, you'll successfully save the child and complete the first chapter. Then, you can move on to the next part of the game and play as Madison.
