- A new update has been released for Tekken 7 which targets Leroy
- Leroy has become an issue in the Tekken competitive scene due to being overpowered
- This update comes ahead of more balance updates to come ahead of the Tekken World Tour 2020
The dominance of Leroy in Tekken 7 has become an issue in the competitive scene, with the majority of top players at EVO Japan 2020 utilising the character due to his overpowered strength.
It raised concerns over how the Tekken World Tour 2020 season would pan out later this year, but after an update following EVO Japan, developer Bandai Namco has released update 3.21 which primarily targets the character.
The update is live now with battle adjustments to Leroy, with the official Tekken Twitter account explaining more balance adjustments will arrive ahead of the Tekken World Tour 2020.
TEKKEN 7 update Ver. 3.21 include battle adjustments to Leroy Smith and planned for release mid-February. Battle balance adjustments for other characters will be done before the start of the #TWT 2020

So what changes have been made to Leroy? Tekken producer Michael Murray posted the changes online (they're also on the official site too), reducing the damage across multiple moves along with decreases to frame advantages.
Time will tell if the changes make Leroy a more balanced competitor, although the adjustments certainly make some big changes to the character.

Leroy was introduced to Tekken as character DLC, with the next character set to be Fahkumram in Spring 2020.
