Top Blokes defeated Team Queso in a thrilling Bo7 grand final to win RLCS X Winter Regional #2, their first Regional championship of the tournament.
Andy "Kassio" Landais sealed the championship with a Game 7 overtime goal, in a series that mirrored the NA Regional #2’s finale.
Top Blokes’ win comes as their first Regional championship in the revamped RLCS X and sets them as the number three team in the European leaderboards, behind Team BDS and Renault Vitality.
With the result, Top Blokes walked away with a $30,000 prize, leaving $15,000 to second place, Team Queso.
Game 7 OT Thriller -- again
After both teams helped knockout BDS in consecutive series, the Regional championship did not involve the European monarch for the second time since the start of RLCS X and the throne was up for grabs.
Even though Team Queso pulled off Game 1, they quickly fell behind in the next two games, trailing the rest of the series and playing catch-up all the way to the end.
All of Team Queso’s wins in the Finals came in overtime, as Diego "VK-Sailen" Isla Serrano came in clutch against Top Blokes’ defence in Game 6, pushing the series to its limit.
With a grueling 0-0 tie to send Game 7 into overtime, Team Queso clinged to the hope of causing a bracket reset, but Kassio had other things in mind.
Punishing a poor touch from Raúl "DmentZa" Palazuelos, Top Blokes sinked the only score to win themselves their first EU Regional of RLCS X.
Double Elimination drama
Winning against Solary in sweep-fashion, and only dropping one game to Galaxy Racer, Top Blokes was cruising through the upper bracket, even knocking down Team Queso and BDS along the way.

The first half of the upper bracket was another day at the office for Team Queso, taking down You Choose Pesce and European-powerhouse Renault Vitality.
After being knocked down in the semifinals, Team Queso had a tougher time staying alive in the Lower Bracket, eliminating Redemption, Giants Gaming and current-champion BDS for a chance at redemption against Top Blokes, now for the Regional Championship.

Coming one goal short of a bracket reset, Team Queso placed 2nd in the EU Regional #2 -- their highest placement in any RLCS X tournament so far. Top Blokes is closing the gap between the top European teams, as the third and last Winter Regional kicks off 10th December.
