Some of my favorite memories are from playing Guitar Hero with my brothers, taking it in turns to try and get the highest score, and learning so many unheard songs in the process. It's been a long time since I have played anything that captures that same feeling until I picked up Unplugged: Air Guitar.
Unplugged: Air Guitar sees players getting up on stage and strutting their stuff to some of the best rock songs that have ever blessed your ears. Players will use one hand to strum the guitar strings, and the other will be used to make the chords simply by putting their fingers in the correct place in line with the note chart.
With an impressive 40+ song tracklist, including songs from the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Weezer, and The Offspring, as well as various difficulty modes to master, this virtual guitar game possesses a ton of content.
One thing I really liked was that the game doesn't overload you with tons of information and tutorials right at the start. Instead, it gradually releases them to you as and when you need them. Meaning you will never forget anything vital, and you won't become overwhelmed with the sheer amount to learn - and they are given by "Satchel," the lead guitarist of Steel Panther.
Unplugged: Air Guitar states itself as a game that is easy to learn but difficult to master, and this is purely because of the amount of precise tracking the PSVR 2 offers, allowing for more in-depth controls. You will use the different buttons on your sense controller to articulate notes, and further down the line, as you progress in your difficulty, even the tilt of your guitar will matter as you play.
