Starstones have different rarities and various ways to acquire them when mining rocks and nodes across Kilima Village and Bahari Bay, including the blood-red Ruby Starstone. Deeply associated with those in positions of power or massa accumulated wealth, this Starstone also has a spiritual and physical connection to the human body, especially as it may represent the life-sustaining fluid, blood.
Palians aligned with The Merchant Star Path have this royal Starstone associated with them and have an extremely high value once acquired. Those looking to obtain power and wealth in-game can learn in this guide on how to find and best use the Ruby Starstone in Palia.
How To Find Ruby Starstones In Palia?
Long associated with nobility, protection, wealth, and invulnerability, the Ruby was at one point aligned with misfortune before it gained its royal status. It’s no wonder it has found its way to Palia, as the Ruby Starstone is available for players to acquire.
This specific Starstone is the highest rarity, the Legendary, available in-game, meaning its drop rates are far less than Amethyst and Sapphire. Nevertheless, the Ruby Starstone can be acquired in the same manner as the Amethyst Starstones, both of which can be dropped when mining Palium nodes.
As detailed in our extensive guide to Palium, these nodes are exclusively found in Bahari Bay; however, they tend to spawn in specific locations more frequently. Some of these locations include Proudhorn Pass, Thorny Thicket, Pavel Mines, and the Windy Ruins, where not only will they obtain Palium ores and stones but the chance for the Ruby Starstone to be looted once the nodes have been mined.
Players must have the proper tools for the job, as a Fine or Exquisite Pick is required to mine these nodes. To make their mining run more fun when doing these mining farm runs, they can complete various Mining Skill Challenges to earn Renown and other rewards upon completion, including trophies.
How To Use Ruby Starstones In Palia?
As Ruby Starstones are the rarest players can receive when mining nodes in-game, those lucky enough can utilize it in a variety of ways. Should you desperately feel the need to part ways with a Ruby Starstone, they can sell them to receive a whopping 4,000 Gold per Starstone sold, which its value got nerfed in the v0.173 patch update.
This should be the last resort if players need Gold quickly and have sold other Starstones through the Shipping Bin container found on their Housing plot. The Gold obtained can, in turn, be utilized for purchasing tool upgrade blueprints, various recipes, and rare items from the Guild Masters or Zeki’s General Goods Store.
Another way that players can best use the Ruby Starstones is by gifting them to Villagers and players alike. The latter can be achieved when players have requested them, which are viewed from the Socials menu under the Requests tab by hitting the O key.
But what is considered the best gifting option is to gift the Ruby Starstones to the Villagers aligned with its corresponding Star Path, The Merchant. Eshe is currently the only Villager aligned with this Star Path but be advised that they can only give her one Ruby Starstone weekly, which resets every Sunday at 4 am UTC.
