How To Complete The New Year, New Wishes Event Quest In Palia?
As mentioned, the Maji Market has returned to Palia, and with that, new quests can be explored while enjoying the festivities at the Kilima Village Fairgrounds. Players are to wait for a letter from Kenli mailed to their Mailbox at either 6 am or 6 pm to be invited to the Maji Market before speaking to him near the Hotpot Card Game areas beside the pier.
While welcoming layers to the Maji Market, he’ll hand over an envelope called a Lucky Envelope, which he advises to speak with Chayne to learn more about. They can find him in front of the Wish Tree at the center of the fairgrounds as he, too, awards them with another Lucky Envelope before explaining what they are and their meaning for the event.
As custodian for this iteration of the Maji Market, Chayne will be caretaking the Wish Tree and overseeing the rituals during the Maji Market. Explaining the purpose of the Wish Tree, Villagers would write out their wishes on a Wish Ribbon before hanging them from the tree; however, all but one has yet to hang a Wish Ribbon: Zeki.
They can converse with Zeki beside his Zeki’s Prize Wheel, where he doesn’t exactly reveal his reasons for not hanging a Wish Ribbon but instead coaxes players into spinning the Prize Wheel to receive a randomized reward. Collect the reward and return to Zeki, where he explains that he doesn’t believe in wish-making as being a Grimalkin; they prefer to make their wishes come true without the help of the Dragon.
Return to Chayne to explain what Zeki had told them, and they can select any of the dialogue options, prompting Chayne to leave things as they are, which concludes the New Year, New Wishes quest. Players can receive 15 Renown and 300 Lucky Envelopes, totaling around 500 Lucky Envelopes, which can be spent at the various stalls at the Maji Market.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
