Jina continues her research into the ancient Humans who left behind plenty of clues, riddles, and beautiful architecture through her Friendship and Discovery quests. One new quest added in the v0.177 patch update is a Found Item quest, Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny, which requires access to the Ancient Library.
After conferring with Jina, she requests that players find all the scrolls at places of Human architecture, and the temples should be a good starting point. This guide will explain how to complete the Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny Found Item quest, and where to find the scrolls in Palia.
Palia Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny Found Item Quest Objectives List
The v0.177 patch update introduced multiple bug fixes and minor gameplay content for players to experience in-game. A few Discovery and Found Item quests were added, which can be obtained from the Rummage Piles in Bahari Bay or through exploration; the latter applies to the Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny Found Item Quest.
Working together with Jina, this quest continues Jina's research into the Human researchers who had left behind strange clues and riddles across the temples and other architecture. Below, we've highlighted all the objectives for players to follow and help them complete this quest, and we've provided the locations for the scrolls to find in-game:
- Talk to Jina
- Find the first scroll
- Find the second scroll
- Find the third scroll
- Return to Jina
How To Complete The Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny Found Item Quest In Palia?
Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny is a Found Item quest that was added in the 0.177 patch update, as it takes some exploration to discover this quest in-game. We've made this guide to help players trigger the quest, in which they must visit the Ancient Library in Mirror Pond Ruins by heading inside and walking down the corridor.
If players are unable to access the Ancient Library, they must complete Jina's Friendship level quest, Open the Door, to receive her key, which unlocks the Ancient Library. Head inside and make a right turn to look for a bookcase leaning against the wall before the next room, where a scroll is located and reading it will begin the quest.
Afterward, they will speak to Jina, instructing players to locate three more scrolls scattered across Kilima Village and Bahari Bay. She will also provide them with a major clue to start searching areas "with Human architecture" and suggest the Temple of the Waves as a possible starting point.
Where To Find The Scrolls In Palia?
Using their Glider, fly over the river to the lower level on the right and enter the temple on their left side before heading down the corridor. Once they've reached the dead end, look to the right of the bookshelf to find a scroll resting on crumbling ruins they can read.
They will speak to Bahari Bay Villagers, specifically Hassian and Najuma, to gain clues for the following scroll locations. Najuma references the "big cylinders on the beach," while Hassian explicitly mentions the Temple of the Flames and can head to either location first.
We traveled to the Temple of the Flames, located between the Flooded Fortress and Pavel Mines. They must be busy or have completed this temple's quest line to access it. After entering the temple, they must locate the Mysterious Chamber, which houses the maze.
Using the left-side entrance, they make their way through the first corridor, where they can spot an Ancient Pottery and the scroll beside it. They can now follow Najuma's clue, which is slightly trickier to narrow down its location, but we've tracked it on a small island north of The Old Lighthouse.
They can use the geyser near The Old Lighthouse to reach this location before dropping down at the top of the structure to find the final scroll. They can also access it by walking to the structure and climbing up to find the scroll.
Once all three found scrolls are read, return to Jina in Kilima Village and provide her with the information contained in these scrolls. This will complete the Ancient Grudge, New Mutiny Found Item quest, and as a reward, they'll receive an Ancient Pottery item to decorate their homes with, which can also be received from the Masks quest.
