It's fun to express yourself in video games, no matter what you're playing; The Outlast Trials is no exception and emotes are the way to do that. When playing with your friends, you'll no doubt want to emote and show how you're feeling, whether you're happy, confused, sad, or frustrated. Here's how to emote in The Outlast Trials.
How Do You Emote in The Outlast Trials?
Depending on whether you're playing on PC or console, and whether you're using a mouse/keyboard or controller, what you'll have to do to emote in The Outlast Trials is a little different. However, it's a pretty simple process on all platforms.
Just follow these steps to emote in The Outlast Trials:
Using Mouse and Keyboard
- Hold down your middle mouse button until the Quick Selection menu shows up.
- Drag your cursor to the emote you'd like to use, still holding down the middle mouse button.
- Release the middle mouse button while hovering over the emote.
- Watch as your character emotes in whatever way you've chosen.
Using Controller Or Gamepad
- Hold down the D-pad until the Quick Selection menu shows up.
- Using your analog stick, pick an emote.
- After choosing and hovering over the emote, lift the D-pad.
- Your character should begin to emote.
You can also use this method to ping areas for your teammates, showing areas of danger or pointing your friends in the right direction. The great thing about emotes in The Outlast Trials is that they can be used for both fun, and helping your teammates find the right thing to do.
That's how you can emote and show how you feel in The Outlast Trials. While there are just a few emotes in the game allowing players to express their feelings to teammates at this time, it's possible that more could be added in the future.
