Last Epoch Warlock Skills & Curses Detailed

With Last Epoch version 1.0, the time-traveling ARPG finally moves out of Early Access into a full launch, and with it comes a new Acolyte Mastery Class, the Warlock! 

If you want to get familiar with the Warlock Mastery in Last Epoch, there is no better way than to learn about its powerful Mastery-specific skills! Let's dive in, shall we?

How To Unlock Warlock Mastery in Last Epoch

First, you must spend 20 points on your base class. Then, you must reach Chapter 4 of Last Epoch's story. Once you've reached Chapter 4 and spent 20 points, you must complete the End of Time quest and then speak to the Forgotten Knight to get the Power of Mastery quest. Alternatively, if the Forgotten Knight doesn't have the quest for you, head to Elder Gaspar to pick up the quest.

Once you've completed the Power of Mastery quest, you'll see a button pop up saying "Unlock Masteries," and you can spend your skill points in the Warlock Mastery class. At level 25, you will have to make a choice, "Ascending," to the Warlock class.

All Last Epoch Warlock Mastery Skills & Effects

Before we get to the Warlock Mastery skills, let's just take a quick look at a description of this powerful class:

A practitioner of the forbidden arts, she tears into the essence of her foes, twisting and corrupting their bodies and minds with curses most vile. Through her dark magics, she can devour the very souls of those who would dare stand in her way.

Now that we are sufficiently hyped, you can find all the Warlock Mastery skills below. Keep in mind that not all of these skills are truly specific to the Warlock Mastery, as you can unlock Chaos Bolts and Ghostflame in other Acolyte masteries. The Chthonic Fissure, Soul Feast, and Profane Veil are Warlock-only skills.

Chthonic Fissure

"Opens an infernal fissure in the ground, dealing fire damage over time to enemies on top of it, as well as releasing Spirits from the fissure that seek nearby enemies. These spirits inflict enemies with Torment, a curse that slows and deals Necrotic Damage Over Time."

Soul Feast

"Feast on the souls of cursed enemies, dealing Necrotic Damage to them, and drawing fragments of their souls back to you. The soul fragments each grant 3 ward when they reach you. Feasts on up to 13 enemies, prioritizing those closest to you."

Profane Veil

"Channel to conceal yourself within a Profane Veil that deals Necrotic Damage Over Time to enemies around you. While concealed you dodge every Hit, but you can still take damage from Damage Over Time effects, such as ailments, and you move more slowly."

Chaos Bolts

"A barrage of chaotic projectiles which land in an area around the target. The explosions deal Necrotic and Fire Damage in a small area."

Ghostflame

"Channel to release a continuous jet of horrid flames in front of you dealing Fire and Necrotic Damage Over Time."

Warlock Curses & Effects in Last Epoch

Each Curse in the Warlock's arsenal has a unique debuff effect when applied to enemies. You can check out the details of all five (5) curses below!

Anguish Curse

"A Curse that lasts 10 seconds, reduces damage over time dealt and deals Necrotic Damage to all enemies afflicted with it whenever you kill an enemy. It cannot stack."

Decripify Curse 

"A Curse which deals 200 Physical Damage over 10 seconds with added damage applying at 100% effectiveness per second, and causes the target to take more damage from damage over time based on the caster’s missing health."

Penance Curse

"A Curse that lasts 15 seconds which causes affected targets to take 20 Spell Fire Damage when they hit another target, but it does not stack."

Acid Skin Curse

"A Curse which deals 80 Poison Damage over 5 seconds with added damage applying at 80% effectiveness per second, and adds a 20% chance to be critically hit."

Torment Curse

"A Curse which deals 120 Spell Necrotic damage over 3 seconds with added damage applying at 200% effectiveness per second and reduces movement by 12% (multiplicative with other modifiers), but it does not stack."
