The Halo Infinite multiplayer beta has already amassed hundreds of thousands of players across both PC and console since its not-so-surprising launch on 15th November.
The launch of the multiplayer beta, which is completely free to play, also marks the start of the very first Halo Infinite season. Given that Halo Infinite Season 1 is already officially live, there seems to be some confusion in the community, particularly in regards to certain aspects of the beta stage and its connection to things like player progression, battle pass levelling, unlocks, stats, ranks, and more.
This uncertainty stems from the fact that many players are not exactly sure when will the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta end. If you are confused as well, then help is at hand, as we have all the answers.
When will the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta end?
Although we may as well consider the beta's release as the official launch date of Halo Infinite's multiplayer, developers state that they are still calling it the multiplayer beta purely because previous Multiplayer Technical Previews were not enough to properly stress-test servers and other online infrastructure.
With the current beta being available for everyone they will be able to see how the game and servers behave when a massive amount of players jump into the game at once.
That being said, they are not planning on keeping the beta moniker for long, as the multiplayer beta will end when Halo Infinite officially launches on 8th December, when the Halo Infinite campaign will be released as well.
Will Halo Infinite multiplayer remain free after beta?
Yes, the plan from the start was for the multiplayer component to be completely free-to-play no matter if you purchase the full Halo Infinite game, which includes the campaign as well, or not.
Developers 343 Industries want to create a big community around the game's multiplayer, and that's only possible with a F2P model.
Will Halo Infinite multiplayer beta progress carry over?
If you are planning on purchasing the Season 1 battle pass and start grinding hard from the very first day, you might be worried if all that progress will be lost upon the full release or if all your battle pass levels and unlocks will carry over into the final version of Halo Infinite.
Well, you don't need to worry as developers have confirmed that all your progress during the beta stage will still be there once the game officially launches.
"All the Battle Pass and customization items you earn or purchase during the beta will stay with you after December 8th," explained the devs.
So there you have it, all the necessary information you need to know about the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta. Now you can relax, practise and start climbing the ranked ladder!
