Genshin Impact’s Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars web event ended over the weekend as millions of Travelers celebrated the release of the Dragonspine Mountains. As promised, one million Travelers joined the event to earn rewards and unlock a lighting ceremony that will take place this month.
The developer, miHoYo, announced recently the details for the upcoming Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars: Illuminating Event in the Alps ceremony. Here’s everything we know about the lighting ceremony, including date and time, how to watch and more.
When will the Illuminating Event take place?
Detailed in a blog post, the Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars: Illuminating Event in the Alps ceremony will take place on 13th January 2022. The ceremony will livestream on Genshin Impact’s Twitch channel before being rebroadcasted on their YouTube channel.

The lighting ceremony was made possible by one million Travelers who had participated in the Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars web event. By creating a Souvenir Card, they earned some cool rewards for their participation and making the lighting ceremony possible.
What to expect from the event?
According to the developer, the Illuminating Event in the Alps ceremony will feature a live celebration for Travelers to enjoy. The celebration includes a musical performance which will proceed with a planned lighting ceremony to celebrate the first anniversary of the release of Dragonspine Mountains in Genshin Impact.
The lighting ceremony will headline this event will start at the French ski resort, Val Thorens, before proceeding to the French Alps to light the Teleport Waypoint located there. The lighting ceremony was made possible thanks to the Genshin Impact community for participating in the web event, which concluded on 9th January 2022.
The developer will be releasing more information before the Illuminating Event in the Alps celebration. As such, we will update this story once more details become available.
