While plenty of new weapon types were added in Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree DLC, the developers weren't afraid to include even more new weapons of familiar types. One such weapon is the new Velvet Sword of St. Trina, a new Straight Sword added to the game.
If you're looking to get your hands on this weapon as well, you're in the right place. Below, we will show you exactly how to get the Velvet Sword of St. Trina in Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree.
Velvet Sword of St. Trina Location In Shadow Of The Erdtree
Unlike many other weapons in the game that require completing quests or defeating enemies, the Velvet Sword of St. Trina can be found lying on the ground in the open world. Getting to the location is somewhat tricky as there are plenty of enemies you might need to run past or take out to reach it, but we have you covered with the steps below.
To begin your journey to finding the Velvet Sword of St. Trina, you need to head to the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace. From there, head south from the coast until you reach a large sinkhole in the ground (as shown on the map image above). Use Torrent to drop onto stone ledges, slowly leading deeper into the hole and to another Site of Grace called The Fissure.
There will be a wall of light blocking your access further until you break the seal in the Shadow Keep. Make sure you’ve done this first. If you’ve defeated Messmer, the seal is already broken, and you can make your way back to The Fissure to continue your journey. You’ll then come across the Stone Coffin Fissure Grace Site and as you drop down the platforms on the right, you'll find the Fissure Cross site of Grace as well as another Cross of Marika.
You'll notice a large stone structure ahead of you (imaged above), and you want to head to the right side of it and drop down the platforms below. From here, look around to the right for a small cave, and inside, you'll find the Velvet Sword of St. Trina on the back of a corpse. The weapon itself is fairly powerful and offers tons of utility, especially for those using versatile builds. So, let's take a look at the weapon's requirements and stats below.
Velvet Sword of St. Trina Stats And Requirements

The extra Magic damage on the blade makes it more appropriate for Dexterity/Intelligence characters since its damage scales eventually with both stats as you upgrade it. The Velvet Sword's Ash of War ability, Mists of Eternal Sleep, shoots a wide horizontal blast of purple mist that applies Eternal Sleep to basic enemies who get too close.
This new status condition causes enemies to remain frozen in sleep forever unless they are disturbed in any way. This helps remove the risk of dealing with normal foes as you explore new areas, at least until they reset when you rest at a Grace Site.
And there you have it, a detailed breakdown of how to get the Velvet Sword of St. Trina, as well as how the stats of the weapon hold up and if it's useful for your build as you venture through the Land of Shadow in Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree.
