Praise the sun! Sometimes, the actions of gamers just warms one's heart, even if it's related to one of the most brutal games ever created. We are, of course, talking about FromSoftware's Elden Ring...and one father really impressed us with his creation.
On Reddit, a dad going by the username Elminster2031 showed off his creation in celebration of the 1000 hours he and his son have played Elden Ring. In case the image above didn't make it abundantly clear, it's a 3D map of The Lands Between, which looks so incredible I'm sure even Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin would be proud! You should probably excuse the cardboard box this creation is lying on...
It sits in a large wooden frame, designed to be hung on a wall, with a golden Erdtree right in the middle and the Great Runes around the frame.
Fans are going crazy for the creation on Reddit, and one user said, "Set it on fire," to which the creator replied:
Funny thing is, I already did, that's how it's gold. I used copper wire and the sodium hydroxide with zinc method to galvanize it. Then a torch to turn it into brass.
Some Reddit users are calling it "breathtaking," while some are dropping complimentary comments such as "Would you be open to taking me as another son??"
Well done, Elminster2031! Clearly, not all heroes wear capes.
We can't help but wonder how many hours the dad and son will spend in Elden Ring's massive Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and if, at the 2000-hour mark, another creation will be born...we can only hope!
