Where To Find Phantombirds In Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Aside from progressing through the main story, in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes you can recruit a huge number of allies to join your Alliance. Some require certain tasks to be completed before hand, such as Squash who asks players to find him a Sparklestone which is only dropped by Phantombirds.

Squash gives you a slight hint when it comes to finding Phantombirds, in that they can be found deep in the forest. So, you'll need to think of all the possible forest locations you have access to at that point.

To save you some time, Phantombirds are actually a possible encounter in the Dappled Forest midsection. The Dappled Forest is one of the areas you can visit in the overworld soon after unlocking the HQ.

The midsection of the Dappled Forest only becomes available after you've reached a certain point in the story, having completed the Runebarrows in the Treefolk Village. Before this, it is blocked by a soldier who states that they're still doing recon in the area.

Where To Find The Sparklestone

Once you can access the midsection, run around the area until you get a Phantombird encounter. One might appear alongside a Red Wyvern, or three may appear altogether. If you're hunting for the Sparklestone in order to recruit Squash, know that it's not a guaranteed drop from this enemy. You will likely need to slay a quite few of them before the item drops, unless you're particularly lucky. However, one will eventually drop from a Phantombird.
