Diablo Immortal Tong-Shi’s Renewal Dates, Tasks & Rewards

It's the year of the snake, and Diablo Immortal players can celebrate with the Lunar New Year event called Tong-Shi’s Renewal. In Sanctuary, it's a Gilded Dawn, and there are some awesome activities to look forward to.

Take a seat, Nephalem, as we explain the Lunar New Year event in Diablo Immortal, called Tong-Shi’s Renewal. This limited-time event will see players collect and send Red Bags and spend Tseym for a bunch of rewards, so let's jump in.

Diablo Immortal Tong-Shi’s Renewal Start & End Dates

Mark your calendars and set your alarms. Tong-Shi’s Renewal runs for three weeks, starting on 22 January 2025 at 03:00 server time. This limited-time event comes to an end on 13 February 2025 at 02:59 server time, so get all the rewards while you can.

How To Get Red Bags in Diablo Immortal & Rewards

Diablo Immortal players can complete up to five tasks a day during the Tong-Shi’s Renewal event, earning rewards including Tseym (more on that one later) and Red Bags. Tasks include:

• Dungeons
• Elder Rifts
• Killing elite monsters
• Bounties
• Defeating Jingun (new boss)

You can complete these tasks as much as you like, but there's a limit of 30 Red Bags and 100 Tseym you can earn each week.  Blizzard explains how the Red Bags work:

Red Bags are celebratory Tong-Shi’s Renewal rewards that can be gifted to a friend or to your Clan. Not only will you receive rewards when you open Red Bags sent to you, but you’ll also receive rewards for sending Red Bags. Spread the blessings of Tong-Shi’s Renewal by sending and receiving as many Red Bags as you can get your hands on! Don’t forget to claim a free Red Bag every day you log-in from the log-in rewards tab within the event, which will not contribute to your overall limit.

So for sending Red Bags, you can get the following rewards, based on the number you have sent thus far:

• 1 Red Bag = 1-Star Legendary Gem
• 20 Red Bags = 2-Star Legendary Gems
• 40 Red Bags = 3-Star Legendary Gems
• 60 Red Bags = 3 Rare Crests

What To Do With Tseyms in Diablo Immortal?

So every time you complete daily tasks, you get both Red Bags and Tseym, but what is the latter used for? Well, during Tong-Shi’s Renewal Lunar New Year event, you can contribute to Tseym. Each one you contribute nets you a random reward, which can be any of the following:

• Gold
• Scrap
• Dust
• Random Legendary Item

There is a limit, however. Diablo Immortal players can get a maximum of 100 Tseym each week that Tong-Shi's Renewal is active. The good news is that if you miss a day, you can complete a quest that will allow you to claim your missed rewards.
