Dave the Diver has players take on the role of Dave, a helpful diver who spends his days exploring the ocean capturing fish and procuring other treasures. At night, he returns to the surface to help run a sushi restaurant with his friends Cobra and Bancho. This little RPG features the whole package: exploration, combat, restaurant management, and dolphin rescuing.
Throughout Dave's adventure he'll stumble across some valuable items which, on closer inspection, appear to be used solely for selling. The problem is that there's nowhere available to sell the items. Well, not immediately anyway. These items will prompt Dave to sell them at the Cobra Shop, but the establishment won't be unlocked from the beginning.
How To Sell Items & Unlock The Cobra Shop In Dave The Diver
If you're a little bit into the Dave the Diver and haven't unlocked the ability to sell items yet, don't worry — you haven't missed anything. Through natural progression, the ability to sell items such as trinkets and gold bars will open up.
After a few days have passed, and you've completed a few tasks for Dr Bacon, Dave will be asked to find parts needed for the Drone. With the parts found and handed to Cobra, he'll spend a day building it. The following day, Dr Bacon will return and Cobra will have also finished the Drone. He’ll then announce that the Cobra Shop is now open.
Players can sell their unwanted and valuable items, as well as buy auxiliary items which can be used for one day only. These auxiliary items include some of what you might have stumbled upon in the ocean, such as speed boost items. Purchasing one from the Cobra Shop means Dave will have them available from the start of his dive, rather than having to hunt for them in the yellow crates. The Cobra Shop is only open in the morning and afternoon.
