Well, in terms of results, it was a devasting debut for cadiaN at Astralis. On Astralis' map pick of Inferno, Team Vitality just went beast mode and scored a 13-0 win, something that's incredibly rare in top-tier Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports events.

After the insane 13-0 win, Team Vitality continued in the next map, Dust2, winning the first three rounds before Astralis finally got one on the board and then a Technical Pause, which broke some momentum. Yes, Team Vitality won 16 consecutive rounds, which is likely a new record in CS2 esports history.
Astralis managed to score three in a row, tying things up at 3-3 on Dust2, before Vitality stabilized and earned back their lead. There were some heroics from Astralis players and signs of life, with a good example being Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard's 2v1 clutch to secure the 8th round.
Dan "apEX" Madesclaire rallied Team Vitality and pulled back three rounds in a row for a 7-4 scoreline before the BLAST Fall Final 2024 broadcast went down for everyone, leaving us to wait a bit in the dark due to a power outage in Copenhagen. After the match resumed, the first half closed out with an 8-4 in favor of Vitality.
On the CT side of Dust2, Team Vitality kicked off proceedings with a Pistol Round win and converted with ease, giving themselves a 10-4 lead. Vitality pushed their advantage and just dismantled Astralis, winning Dust2 13-4 and the series with a crushingly clean 2-0.
Team Vitality will now go on to face the winner of Team Liquid and Team Spirit in the Winner's Match of Group B, while Astralis will have one more chance to survive in the Elimination Match.
