It is no secret that G2 Esports had a fantastic time in Group C of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024. They beat down NIP and then reverse-swept FaZe Clan to make it to the group finale. NIP recovered by shocking FaZe Clan, eliminating one of the favorites in the lower bracket.

From the recent Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) matches it was clear that adding Guatemalan rifler Mario "malbsMd" Samayoam alongside a Polish veteran, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, paid off for G2 Esports.

G2 Esports kicked off proceedings with a bang on NIP's map pick of Ancient. While the map is generally considered T-sided, G2 got a first-half lead of 8-4 on the CT side, spelling doom for NIP, especially with an on-fire Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov as you can see from the 2v1 AWP clutch below.

G2 finished Ancient with a strong T side to win the map 13-7.

On G2's map pick of Inferno, there were signs of life for NIP. In fact, NIP managed to tie 6-6 in the first half on the CT side after trailing behind, thanks to some excellent plays across the board, including three kills from AWPer Artem "r1nkle" Moroz in the 10th round, with two no-scopes to give NIP a bit of momentum.

Despite NIP's efforts, G2 Esports on the CT side of Inferno pulled ahead with force and secured a 13-8 map win, closing up the series 2-0 for a solid clean sweep.

NIP will now face off against Astralis in the best-of-three Play-In match, where the winner will go on to the BLAST Fall Final 2024, while the loser will have to compete in the Showdown event. NIP has a good shot since they are the ones that sent FaZe Clan packing with a surprising 2-0 victory.
