EYEBALLERS player Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren has broken the CS2 record for kills in regulation less than a week after donk set a new one.

In September, we've seen some crazy Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports action go down. At ESL Pro League Season 20, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets broke the kills record (38) in regulation on Anubis, while Fnatic and M80 set the longest map record...Now, a 17-year-old Swedish player for EYEBALLERS has broken donk's aforementioned record less than a week later.

At the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 2, EYEBALLERS went up against Zero Tenacity. While EYEBALLERS eventually lost 2-1, their map win on Anubis was spectacular, with Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren scoring a whopping 39 kills in regulation.

To be fair, this was an online event, so technically, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets holds the LAN record, while Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren holds the overall and the online records. The HLTV map stats page showcases an insane performance, with an ADR of 147.3, 39 kills, and a player rating of 2.31.

For those who don't know, EYEBALLERS was founded by two Fnatic legends, Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Robin "flusha" Rönnquist. These superstars have retired, but fragging is definitely not something foreign to them, so for me, it isn't that surprising that someone from EYEBALLERS is setting records already.

It is, however, unlikely that the all-time Counter-Strike record for the most kills in regulation will ever be broken. The record came from the CS:GO era, where Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke scored 47 kills on Mirage. Since CS:GO has 30 rounds in regulation and CS2 has 24, the chances are minuscule.
