Complexity Sends HEROIC Packing With EliGE Ace | BLAST Fall Groups

The 5th day of BLAST Fall Groups 2024 didn't disappoint, as we saw some fantastic Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) lower bracket final matches in each group. In Group A, Complexity faced off against HEROIC.

Complexity started to pull ahead on their map pick of Anubis, South African IGL, Johnny' "JT" Theodosiou, showed his squad how it's done with four kills in the 6th round, two with the M4A1-S and two with the USP-S on the B site defense, showing us immense skill against a strong push from HEROIC.

Complexity ended up winning Anubis very convincingly with a 13-6 scoreline. When it came to HEROIC's map pick of Ancient, they did put up much more of a fight, with a tied first half and a second half where HEROIC started to pull ahead. 

Of course, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski had something to say about it, spraying down HEROIC on their eco round. Yes, a rifle spraydown against pistols isn't the most impressive thing ever, but with the ace, all five Complexity players stayed alive and built their bank. At the time of the ace, Complexity was behind 7-9 and pulled off a nice comeback to win Ancient with a final score of 13-11, which means HEROIC only earned two more rounds after the EliGE spraydown.

Complexity will now face Team Spirit in the Group A final. The winner goes on to the BLAST Fall Final 2024, while the loser has one more shot in the all-or-nothing Play-In stage. Will Complexity prevail, or will they get Donked on? We can't wait to find out!
