The Groza was one of the many weapons nerfed in the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 weapon tuning update. Raven Software wanted to change up the meta dominated by rifles like the FFAR and AUG but the Groza was seen as a potential option to overtake the meta.
While the Groza’s always been an above average option in Warzone, it’s never been at the top of any players’ loadout selections. It didn’t possess any qualities that really tipped the scales and instead, players opted for other rifles and guns.
However, Season 3 has nerfed the Groza so it didn’t become another FFAR nightmare in Warzone. For this reason, players who enjoyed using the Groza might want to think about changing their loadout for it and there’s no better one right now than the one listed below.
Best Groza loadout in Warzone Season 3
The stat changes for the Groza in Season were pretty substantial. Raven Software decided to nerf the rifle’s recoil, ADS time and upper torso damage multiplier. All of these areas are important to an assault rifle and now the Groza is seen as a middle-of-the-road weapon, similar to how it was perceived in previous seasons.
However, like most other weapons in Warzone, the right loadout can change everything. Attachments exist that can help mitigate the Groza’s recent stat reductions and also make the weapon far more viable than it is in its base form.

- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 16.7″ VDV Reinforced
- Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Speedgrip
- Magazine: VDV 60 RND Fast Mag
- Handle: Serpent Wrap
The base of this loadout promotes recoil control along with speed. The GRU Suppressor and Spetsnaz Speedgrip both improve the Groza’s vertical recoil, making the Season 3 nerf seem negligible.
Following that up is an increase to the gun’s recently lowered ADS time with the Serpent Wrap. While this is also brought down by the VDV 60 RND Fast Mag, having extra bullets and a quicker reload is always important with a quick-moving rifle.
Finally, the 16.7” VDV Reinforced barrel should help with the nerf to the Groza’s damage multiplier. The barrel increases damage by a good amount so you should be able to eliminate enemies at the same rate as you could prior to Season 3.
